On the orders of Tr.Sandeep Rai Rathore, IPS, Commissioner of Police, GCP new strategies and latest techniques are being adopted to identify and arrest the accused. Further, for the safe of the public and their welfare, various welfare measures, Apps are being implemented.
As a sequel to this, today (14-03-2024), Tr.Sandeep Rai Rathore, IPS, Commissioner of Police, GCP flagged off the ‘Airport Police- Patrol” scheme on the campus of the Airport at Meenambakkam, Chennai for the safety and welfare of passengers, and distributed Badges to 10 Police personnel.
Commissioner of Police, GCP said that this scheme is being implemented as a ‘Novel Effort’ to safeguard the passengers and those accompanying them and their belongings. Specially trained 10 PCs will patrol the Airport in the 2 patrol vehicle and 1 Battery vehicle exclusively given fitted with modern gadgets round-the-clock on rotation basis. Further, they would lend a helping hand by giving information/ details to elderly persons and foreigners. This would enable to prevent crimes and protect the belongings and valuables of the passengers.
Further, these police personnel would assist to get a taxi for the new passengers and help them during emergencies. This would protect passengers from fraudsters.
