Chennai, March 2024: Hyatt Regency Chennaiearlier hosted their Annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony with the children from Presidency Girls High School on December 1st 2023. They embraced sustainability by crafting a unique 20 ft. tall tree from donated children’s storybooks for the first time in Chennai. These books are now donated to the Presidency Girls School in Egmore, Chennai, fostering a love for reading among the young minds.

Hyatt believes in incorporating sustainability into their endeavors and hence they organized a book donation drive earlier till Christmas. Speakingabout the library inauguration, Mr. Ruban Das, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Chennai, said “As a global company, we strive to support organizations that align with our World of Careplatform and purpose of caring for people so they can be their best. Hyatt Regency Chennai has been in the process of revamping the existing library at the school by conducting a books donation drive campaign last year focused on collecting books for students from nursery to class 12. The restored library now has the collection of over 1000 books that were donated during the campaign and handed over to the school.

The inaugural ceremony also witnessed joy to all the students and teachers at Presidency Girls School in Egmore with the management team of the Hotel. The celebration has marked a new start to upskill and achieve.
