iSTEEL Celebrates 20 Years of Enabling Homes That Last Generations

Chennai, December 2024iSTEEL, South India’s trusted name in TMT bars, marks its 20th anniversary with plans to double its production capacity to 2.4 lakh tons by next year , responding to growing demand for its quality steel products. Since 2005, the brand has been instrumental in strengthening over 5 lakh homes across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh.

The brand’s commitment to generational durability is exemplified by its selection for the historic Rajagopuram construction at Alangudi temple. “When temple authorities sought steel that would maintain structural integrity for over 500 years, they chose our recently launched iSTEEL Zinc galvanized bars. This sacred project embodies our core purpose – enabling structures that truly stand the test of time,” said G. Gautam Reddy, CEO of iSTEEL.

“Two decades ago, we set out to transform construction steel from a commodity into a trusted brand. Today, iSTEEL stands as a testament to that vision,” Reddy continued. “Our upcoming capacity expansion reflects the trust placed in us by our network of 400 dealers, including over 120 who have partnered with us for more than a decade.”

In its pursuit to become one of India’s greenest steel plants, iSTEEL has invested in a state-of-the-art 16-acre solar power facility. With 11,000 solar panels, this initiative reduces carbon emissions by an impressive 73.8 lakh kg per year – ensuring that while iSTEEL enables homes for future generations, it also preserves the environment they will inherit.

” The construction landscape in India is evolving rapidly, with an estimated 40 lakh homes expected to be built by 2050,” said Tarun Kochhar, Brand Director. “As more families focus on creating homes that endure for generations, our enhanced production capacity and extensive dealer network across four states position us perfectly to meet the growing demand for quality steel that families can rely on for decades”
