Madurai, June 12, 2024: Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI) – Tamil Nadu Chapter, a premier industry body of healthcare service providers in the state, is all set to organize AHPICON 2024 – TN Chapter, a one-day conference on the theme ‘Growth and Sustainability in Healthcare’. To be held in Madurai on June 15, 2024, the event will feature over 50 expert talks and the participation of over 500 healthcare professionals including doctors, administrators, and consultants from 200 hospitals across the state.
The first-ever AHPICON 2024 – TN Chapter will also host an award ceremony to recognize 15 hospitals of different sizes in the state for their excellence in patient service. The conference will witness a keynote address by Dr. G. Bhakthavatsalam, Chairman, K.G. Hospital. Dr. Girdhar Gyani, Director General, AHPI will provide the presidential address, while Dr. Alexander Thomas, Founder – President & Patron – AHPI, will participate as the Guest of Honour.
The topics of the sessions are: financial sustainability and growth; managing human resource and upskilling; disruptive technologies for future of healthcare; importance of quality in achieving sustainability and growth; challenges in compliance to regulations and medical laws, and sustainability and scalability of hospitals in tier-II and tier-III towns.
Talking about the event, Dr. Sathish Devadoss, President, AHPI-TN, and Vice Chairman, Devadoss Multispeciality Hospital, said, “Healthcare costs are rising unsustainably across the country, and financial sustainability has been a major cause of concern in the healthcare sector. Hence, AHPI-TN has instituted Excellence Awards to recognize the best practices of top hospitals located in different zones of the state, covering all districts. The award categories will include multi-specialty and single-specialty hospitals, both above and below 100 beds, as well as medical college hospitals in the state.

AHPI-TN Chapter, a not-for-profit organization, is one of the largest Healthcare forums in the state. It has more than 350 members – comprising small, medium and large hospitals.
