Sakthidevi Charitable Trust, a part of Sakthi Masala Group, has provided educational scholarships for poor students with physical disabilities who are pursuing higher studies in agricultural and allied sciences. The trust is extending financial support to such deserving students every year.
The beneficiaries were 15 first year undergraduate students of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. The financial assistance will cover all the educational expenses of the students for the entire programme duration of four years.
In a low-key function organised here today, the charity had presented the demand draft of Rs. 4,69,000 to the university towards the educational expenses of the students. The event saw the participation of the founders of Sakthi Masala Group: Dr. P. C. Duraisamy, and Dr. Santhi Duraisamy, and the higher officials of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University: Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, Vice Chancellor, Dr. R. Thamizh Vendan, Registrar, Dr. N. Venkatesa Palanisamy, Principal, and Dr. P. G. Kavitha, Assistant Professor. Besides, faculty members, students, and the staff of the university took part in the event in large numbers.
