As the festive season approaches, Amazon India, in collaboration with Nielsen Media, conducted an in-depth pre-festive survey in India on over 8519 respondents across 35 cities. This exclusive study commissioned for Amazon India provides valuable insights into the evolving preferences and expectations of Southern shoppers.
Boost in Festive Spending: The survey reveals that a substantial 47% of consumers in Southern India are eagerly planning to increase their festive spending this year, compared to the previous season. This heightened enthusiasm underscores the region’s penchant for vibrant celebrations.
Unwavering Trust in E-commerce: Trust in e-commerce platforms remains robust in Southern India, with an impressive 81% of respondents expressing their confidence in these platforms to deliver genuine products. Additionally, 80% find e-commerce platforms highly convenient for festive shopping, especially when celebrating with family members.
Amazon’s Prominence: Amazon.in emerges as the most trusted online destination for festive shopping in Southern India, with a significant 50% of respondents placing their trust in the platform. Furthermore, a remarkable 71% of consumers find Amazon.in exceptionally convenient for online shopping.
Wide Product Range: A significant 78% of SouthernIndian consumers find Amazon’s product range highly appealing, reinforcing Amazon.in as their preferred shopping destination.
