Volvo Car India has achieved a milestone of delivering 100 of its all-electric vehicles in the state of Tamil Nadu since deliveries commenced in November 2022. Chennai accounted for 51 deliveries, making it the biggest market of Volvo’s EVs in the state. Volvo Car India delivered 86 units of its first all-electric offering the XC40 Recharge and 14 numbers of C40 Recharge. Deliveries of the C40 Recharge commenced in the state in mid-September.
“Tamil Nadu has always been a key market for Volvo Car India. The response to our EVs from Tamil Nadu has been encouraging and reflects the acceptance of new technologies by the highly evolved customers of the state. We stand by our commitment of offering our customers with a new EV model every year” said Mr.Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director, Volvo Car India.
“We have been serving the Tamil Nadu customers for 11years and have always had an encouraging response whenever we have introduced a new Volvo Car model. The response to Volvo’s EVs has been encouraging we are proud of having delivered a record of 51 EVs in Chennai. Over 40 per cent of Volvo cars sold in the state are EVs. We look forward to more deliveries in 2024 and achieving greater milestones” said Mr. Vishnuvarrdan Karthikeyan, Director Volvo Tamil Nadu.
