Chennai, May 2026: On the occasion of 60th birthday of Dr. R. Shivakumar, Chairman of the SRM Group of Institutions – Ramapuram and Trichy campuses, the Stanley Alumni Association played a significant role in promoting organ donation awareness and motivating students and faculty members within the SRM Group of Institutions.

As part of this initiative, more than 60 SRM staff members voluntarily submitted organ donation pledge forms to the Stanley Alumni Association, expressing their commitment to saving lives through organ donation after being inspired by the awareness program conducted by the association.

Dr. S. Varadharajan, President of the Stanley Alumni Association, Dr. Saravanan Vedagiri, Finance Secretary of the association, and Alumni Batch 1983 members Dr. Baba and Dr. Prem also joined and actively participated in this organ donation awareness program. Directors, Heads of Institutions, faculty members, and staff members of SRM institutions enthusiastically participated in the awareness initiative.
